About Launch Out COGOP

Jhones Edwards was born and raised in James Mountain, St. Catherine, Jamaica. He is the youngest of 12 children to Eccleston and the late, Lucille Edwards. He gave his life to the Lord at the age of 12 and started preaching at 20 years of age. Prior to migrating to the United States, Minister Edwards was the Pastor of Tophill COGOP in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica.

Currently, Jhones Edwards, is the Pastor of Launch Out for Christ Ministries COGOP. LOFCM was birthed during the Covid19 pandemic. Initially, Pastor Edwards live streamed his sermons from his basement. Subsequently, the ministry was  organized as a mission, the congregation grew,  and worship took place in a hotel conference room. LOFCM was organized as a church, under the Church of God of Prophecy, by Bishop Levi Clarke on June 11, 2022. In January 2025, the LOFCM members closed on their church complex, located in Mount Holly, NJ.

Pastor Edwards received a Master of Arts in Christian Leadership from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in 2021. He also works as a Hearing Instrument Specialist for Miracle Ear. 

He is blessed to serve in ministry along with his wife Melissa Edwards and their daughters Mikayla and Victoria.

Minister Edwards always believes God will give unto you, that which is right! His motto is “God is my portion!”
